International Symposium Researching Young Lives

Focus of the Symposium

The symposium will focus on presenting tools useful in researching the markers of adult behaviors, such as moving out of the family home, achieving financial independence, setting up own household, having the first child, and securing the first job. These events take place in a changing social environment and in various contexts, including peer groups, local community, and internet based media (such as newspapers, television, social platforms, blogs, etc.).

Presenters and Participants

The symposium is addressed to researchers interested in interdisciplinary research on youth behaviors. The participants and presenters include academics from University of Leeds, University College London in the U.K. and from SWPS University. The symposium links to the “Besties and Migration” research project conducted by Youth Research LAB under the leadership of Associate Professor Izabela Grabowska. More information about the project »
