A delegation of artists from Beijing Literary Federation will present traditional Chinese arts at SWPS University on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. The event will include performances by singers, dancers and musicians. The audience will also have an opportunity to participate in a workshop on traditional Chinese paper crafts.

Program

Mr. Mao Yi will perform a song „Running Water” on a traditional Chinese instrument.

Ms. Fan Xiaoxia will sing two popular Chinese songs: „Jasmin” and „Beautiful Country”.

Mr. Hou Yang will perform a traditional Chinese dance “A Shadow in the Painting”

Mr. Niu Lisheng will paint a picture “A Wide Road Reaching Far Away”, while Mr. Mao Yi plays a traditional melody “Three Dances of Plum Flowers”.

Workshop:

After the performance, the audience will have an opportunity to learn the art of Chinese paper cutting, build a kite with a diameter of 2 meters, and observe the traditional technique of painting a scene. The workshop will last approximately 2 to 3 hours.

The Chinese Day at SWPS University has been organized in cooperation with the Office for International Student and Employee Affairs.
