Profil naukowy

Jowita Radzińska, Ph.D., is a research fellow at the National Science Centre and the co-founder of the Gerlsy Foundation.

She researches the concepts of solidarity, collaboration, sisterhood, sociology of morality, and transitions into adulthood in the times of crises. Professionally, she is also interested aspirations, values and dreams of young Poles. In her research she pursues answer the following questions: Why do solidarity and social support tend to dwindle after a time? What is solidarity? Why do people tend to feel greater solidarity with some people and not others? Do we need solidarity and if yes, what kind of solidarity? She is also interested in ethical dilemmas in public life and wellbeing in professional life.

Recently, Dr. Radzińska has been researching the reaction of Poles towards the war in Ukraine, the aid provided to refugees, and the spread of disinformation related to this situation.

She is a recipient of a research grant from the National Science Centre, for the ULTRAGEN project.

She also carries out qualitative research concerning business and socio-political behaviors. Recently, she has been coordination a project for Free Press for Eastern Europe (FPEE), a non-for-profit organization registered in the Czech Republic. The project is aimed at preventing disinformation, supporting journalists, and gaining a better understanding of social condition in the face of worrisome events.

Her other area of interest is Design Thinking, which she realizes by being a facilitator of the Innovation Designers Program supported by the Polish Development Fund (PFR) and Google.

At SWPS University, she teaches classes in Creative Leadershp.
