Top marks in the assessment by the Polish Accreditation Committee
The quality of studies in psychology conducted in our Faculty is confirmed by the assessment of the Polish Accreditation Committee which supervises the quality of the education process across the country. The Faculty has already received a distinction twice: in 2005 and in 2016. Only four universities in Poland, including SWPS University, offer studies in psychology awarded with the highest PKA assessment.
In justification of its decision, the Board of the committee emphasised the highly individualized nature of our studies, appreciated the unique subject matter of the offered specializations and acknowledged our effectiveness at utilising opportunities to cooperate with the local environment.

In the annual ranking by Perspektywy, a Polish influential magazine devoted to educational affairs, SWPS University has been ranked as the second top higher education institution offering studies in psychology in Poland.

Our psychology programs meet the European standard of education, professional training and competence in psychology, the EuroPsy (European Certificate in Psychology), set by the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA). Our certificate has been renewed in September of 2023.

Our permanent and contract academic staff includes top specialists who are renowned in Poland and internationally, such as: Professor Grzegorz Sędek – specializing in experimental psychology, Professor Krystyna Skarżyńska – an expert in social psychology, Professor Andrzej Falkowski – an expert in business psychology, Professor Paweł Boski – precursor of cross-cultural psychology in Poland, Professor Kamila-Jankowiak-Siuda – specializing in molecular biology and neuropsychology, Professor Elżbieta Zdankiewicz-Ścigała – an expert in crisis interventions and psychotraumatology, Professor Karolina Mazurowska – specializing in cross-cultural and business psychology, Professor Hanna Bednarek – who researches optical illusions and questions in aviation psychology, Professor Aleksandra Cisłak-Wójcik – an acclaimed social and political psychologist, and Dr. Krzysztof Krejtz - an expert in oculography.
