Wrocław Hospice for Children Foundation

The Wrocław Hospice for Children Foundation is a public benefit organization operating since 2007. It provides comprehensive palliative care for terminally and chronically ill children and young adults up to the age of 26, as well as their families, throughout Lower Silesia. The hospice primarily operates in a home-based care model - specialists (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and psychologists) support patients and caregivers in their own homes, remaining available 24/7. The Foundation also provides perinatal care, respite care homes, and rehabilitation projects. Furthermore, it engages the community through volunteering and social campaigns, enhancing the quality of life for its beneficiaries and their loved ones.

Main areas (industries) in which we operate

• Palliative and medical care for terminally and chronically ill children in their own homes (home-based hospice) – 24/7 support from specialists (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists) and access to medical equipment;
• Perinatal hospice – holistic assistance for families expecting a child with incurable defects and bereavement support;
• Respite care and operating a Respite Care Home – temporary, comprehensive care for children and their caregivers;
• Psychosocial and social support for hospice families, as well as educational and social activities, including volunteering and community campaigns.
