The Mary and Max Social Innovation Association
Since 2012, the “Mary and Max” Association for Social Innovation has been supporting teenagers and adults on the autism spectrum, as well as their families. Currently, the Association operates in Warsaw and Łódź. We focus on building relationships and creating a safe space for neuroatypical individuals. The “Mary and Max” Association has introduced such innovations to Poland as Peer Volunteering and PEERS Social Skills Training. It is within the PEERS program that interns can learn the specifics of working with people on the spectrum under the guidance of specialists. The “Mary and Max” Association is constantly growing. Every year, it tests new programs, often proposed by interns themselves, such as Slow Dating.
