Women's Rights Centre
The Kraków branch of the Women's Rights Centre is an integral part of the Women's Rights Centre Foundation, which for over 30 years has been working to combat violence against women and support women in enforcing their rights. The Foundation operates in several cities across Poland, including Warsaw, Gdańsk, Wrocław, Poznań, and Kraków. The CPK branch in Kraków has been operating since 2020, implementing comprehensive assistance measures aimed at women experiencing domestic violence.
As part of its operations, the Kraków branch provides a seven- or eight-hour telephone duty service from Monday to Friday, offers specialized legal, psychological, and social counseling, and organizes support groups and development workshops.
In 2025, the branch implemented the projects: "You Are Not Alone – Support for Women Experiencing Violence" and "Assistance and Support Services for Victims of and Those at Risk of Domestic Violence," which included specialized legal and psychological counseling as well as intervention activities. Previous experience includes, among others, the implementation of a project in 2023 – funded by UNHCR – for specialized support for women and children from Ukraine.
Main areas (industries) in which we operate
The Women's Rights Centre Foundation has been conducting comprehensive activities for over 30 years to combat violence against women and support them in enforcing their rights. Its efforts are primarily focused on providing specialized assistance to women experiencing or at risk of domestic violence. The Foundation provides free legal, psychological, and social counseling, as well as crisis and intervention support, enabling a rapid response to emergency situations. An essential area of its work also involves empowerment and developmental activities, including the organization of support groups and workshops aimed at increasing women's independence, sense of agency, and psychosocial competencies. Furthermore, the Foundation implements assistance projects funded by national and international sources, aimed at both women experiencing violence and groups particularly vulnerable to exclusion, including women and children with migration backgrounds. The Foundation's activities are both nationwide and local, combining many years of experience with efforts tailored to the needs of communities in individual cities.
Values that guide our work:
The Women's Rights Centre creates a safe, supportive space based on respect, empathy, and trust, where women can regain their sense of control, strength, and independence.
