Psychological and Pedagogical Counseling Center in Sopot
We are a public educational institution run by the City of Sopot. We work to support the development of students in Sopot's schools, kindergartens, and nurseries. Our team consists of over a dozen specialists who work with children, their parents, and teachers, providing support both at our Center and within educational facilities.
We conduct diagnoses of developmental needs and psychophysical abilities for children who experience school failure or demonstrate exceptional talents. We diagnose children struggling with, among others, adaptation difficulties (including those resulting from changes in cultural environment or returning from abroad), disabilities (such as intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, hearing and visual impairments), mental health crises, language communication disorders, difficulties resulting from environmental neglect or traumatic events, and those at risk of social maladjustment. We also diagnose gifted students, identifying directions for further supporting their development.
We provide individual therapeutic interventions (including speech therapy, pedagogical therapy, sensory integration, psychotherapy, and family therapy) and group sessions (such as Social Skills Training - TUS). Our activities also include prevention (psychoeducation, "School for Parents" workshops, training for pedagogical staff) and crisis intervention. Additionally, we offer educational and vocational counseling through individual consultations and workshops for entire class groups.
