The Father Jan Kaczkowski Foundation
The Father Jan Kaczkowski Foundation continues the work of its Patron, operating "at full throttle" (na pełnej petardzie) across three main pillars. Our key project, PAKA, is a unique youth support program focused on building relationships and culinary workshops held at our workshop space in Sopot. We are also developing the Medical Communication Clinic, training healthcare professionals in doctor-patient relations, and preserving the memory of "Johnny." Our team consists of Father Jan’s inner circle and specialists who believe that authenticity has the power to transform lives.
Main areas (industries) in which we operate
- Psychology and Psychoeducation – supporting youth in dealing with hate, lack of acceptance, and loneliness (The PAKA Project); building resilience and working with individuals experiencing social exclusion.
- Education and Rehabilitation – innovative methods for working with wards of care, educational, and correctional facilities.
Communication and Relationships – professional medical communication (The Medical Communication Clinic), ethics in interpersonal relationships, and ”mindful proximity.”
Values that guide our work:
- Mindful Proximity – building authentic relationships based on presence, respect, and truly seeing the other person, especially those whose voices are rarely heard.
- ”At Full Throttle” (Pełna petarda) – acting with passion, courage, and the highest level of professionalism. We are not afraid of difficult topics or unconventional solutions.
- Credibility and Authenticity – we work based on truth and our own experiences, showing that change is possible at any stage of life.
- Dignity and Agency – every person (ward, student) is a partner to us. We respect the freedom and individual history of every human being.
- Solidarity and Community – we act as a team, together creating a space for safe growth and education.
- Growth through Relationships – we believe that strong, healthy relationships are the most effective tool in the fight against crisis and loneliness.
