Christian Association for Persons with Disabilities, Their Families, and Friends Ognisko
The Ognisko Association is a public benefit organization operating since 1993 in Kraków and the surrounding areas, with a mission to provide comprehensive assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. We run specialized facilities, including Occupational Therapy Workshops, a Community Self-Help Center, Supported Housing, assistant services, and a Support Center for persons with profound and multiple disabilities, as well as two social enterprises and supported employment projects. Our activities aim at social and professional rehabilitation, along with fostering the independence of our beneficiaries. Since 2008, we have been offering support in securing and maintaining employment in the open labor market through the supported employment method—aided by a job coach.
Main areas (industries) in which we operate
Social and vocational rehabilitation services for people with disabilities (day-care support centers, housing, assistant services), supported employment, and social entrepreneurship.
Values that guide our work:
We promote a Christian vision of humanity inspired by the Gospel; we respect personal autonomy and uphold individual dignity and image. We accompany persons with disabilities and their families across many spheres and at various stages of life. The goal of our actions is the development of individuals with disabilities, preparing them for a self-sufficient, independent, and dignified life. We strive to discover and demonstrate to society the values and gifts that persons with disabilities possess.
What we offer at the Job and Internship Fair 2026:
Presentation of information on supported employment and opportunities for support and taking up work with the help of a job coach – for persons with disabilities, game for a job.
