Dr. Galina Markova directs the Know-How Center for Alternative Care for Children at New Bulgarian University, where she also serves as an assistant professor in clinical social work and dynamic psychology. Her research centers on attachment theory, post-totalitarian institutional trauma, and the systemic reform of child protection services away from state orphanages.
