Dr. Mateusz Gola is a professor of the University of California San Diego and the Institute of Psychology of Polish Academy of Sciences. He is a psychotherapist and neuroscientist helping individuals with compulsive sexual behaviors through his clinical work and research that allows for better understanding of neural mechanisms underlying problematic pornography use. He has authored and co-authored over 120 research publications on neuroscience of addictive behaviors, including first studies directly comparing mechanisms of problematic pornography use with substance addictions. In his free time he surfs, and develops new mobile technologies that support recovery from addictions. More information
