S201—Prof. Tomaszewski Lecture Hall , 21 October, 15:00-16:00Moderators: Patrycja Radek, SWPS University and Bolesław Rok, Kozminski University
In the face of growing challenges, it is becoming necessary to reevaluate the role of technology. The panel will deconstruct the technocratic paradigm of innovation in favor of a human-centered approach that seeks multiple sources of positive social and environmental impact, on par with economic indicators. The discussion will explore the opportunities and risks, as well as proven methods for implementing impactful new technologies at a time when we know the industrial revolution is version 5.0: with people, for people, and for the planet. We will also discuss the roles of the government and the ecosystem in developing technologies that truly serve us and the environment.
