Dormitories Off-Campus

Our first year international students may apply for accommodation in the dormitories that are located off-campus, in the so-called Osiedle Przyjaźń [Friendship Neighborhood], located in Bemowo, a modern and fast-growing district of Warsaw. Osiedle Przyjaźń is an area of over 30 hectares. There are 19 student houses, 35 residential houses, 77 detached houses and 3 dormitories. SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities has signed an agreement with Osiedle Przyjaźń for the total of 95 places in three dorms named Rogaś, Sarna, and Jelonek.

In the dormitories, students are accommodated in double rooms with beds, wardrobes, bedside tables, bookshelves, and Internet connection. About four to six students share one bathroom and kitchen. There is a big common room with a TV set in the dormitory, where students can relax, spend some time together, or organize various events. Students also have access to a laundry room and a quiet room for studying. The dormitories are protected by 24-hour security.

There are a few guests room in each dormitory. This gives students an opportunity to invite family or friends to visit them for a few days in Warsaw. The area around the dormitories offers many amenities, including banks, big grocery stores, a post office, an outdoor gym, biking trails, parks, a big shopping center and public transportation. It is located about 20 minutes from the city center by bus or by tram.

Rented Accommodation (Flats/Apartments)

If you wish to rent a room, a flat/apartment, you may visit numerous rental websites and make all the rental arrangements on your own. You may also use the services of an estate agent, who will make all the arrangements for you, for a fee. The advantage of working with an agent is that you put less time and effort into finding the right place. The agent will also ensure that your tenancy agreement is written properly and does not contain any loopholes. Rented accommodation is usually a more expensive option than staying in a dormitory. The monthly cost of a rental is about 1,500 – 2,200 PLN (approx. 360 – 520 EUR) for a bedsit/studio flat/apartment, in Warsaw.
