Kinga Kurowska-Wilczyńska, Eng.D., specializes in organizational management. Her research interests include management of higher education institutions and the quality of education. She is also interested in competence and educational project management, and innovative teaching methods. She likes to initiate systemic changes in teaching at the university level.
As a proponent of innovative teaching methods, Kinga was the Principal Investigator in a 2018-2020 research project “Polski MOOC“ (Polish Massive Open Online Courses), which was financed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education. She also led the Polish team in an Erasmus+ project “Universities of the Future – Collaborative digital shift towards a new framework for industry and education”.
She is a member of Committee II for Social Sciences at the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA), which assesses the quality of education in the social sciences disciplines, such as ekonomics, management, and logistics. She has been a PKA expert since 2011.
In 2014, she cofounded Fundacja Młodej Nauki (Young Science Foundation) and became the President of the organization. She initiated and co-developed and educational online platform www.navoica.pl, which received a LUMEN Award that recognizes contributions to effective management in higher education.
She applies her experience gained in organizations such as the National Representation of Doctoral Students (Chair 2001-2011) and Young Scientists Council (Vice-Chair 2012-2015) when implementing various interdisciplinary educational projects.
Dr. Kurowska-Wilczyńska published reports concerning young scientists, such as interdisciplinary doctoral education (2015, funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Erasmus+, and the European Higher Education Area [EHEA]), mobility of young researchers (2015, Report no. 3/2015 Chief Council of Science and Higher Education), and teaching at the Warsaw University of Technology (2014, report for the Institute for Research on Education [IBE]).
At SWPS University, she teaches classes in business organizations, project management, collaboration and networking. She is also a member of the Scientific Board and the Research Ethics Committee of the Institute of Social Sciences.
