Małgorzata Cisielska, Ph.D. is a designer, specializing in visual communication, in particular typography, spatial orientation systems, socially responsible design, and design of teaching materials.
Her research interests include cognitive aspects of learning and applications of cognitive psychology in design of educational materials that are conducive to learning and memorizing. For her doctoral thesis, she researched whether school textbooks were designed according to cognitive theories of learning.
She completed typography projects for a range of clients, including the National Forum of Music (NFM) in Wrocław, the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the Saint Nicholas Foundation, the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, the Foundation for the Development of the Education System, and the City of Cieszyn
She authored numerous publications on visual communication, typography, and design of teaching materials.
At SWPS University she teaches theory and practice of design and design of orientation systems.
