CONFERENCE

Creative Economy in Poland

FCTS AND myTHS

Organizer: Creative Economy Research Center at SWPS University

The concept of creative economy was developed by John Howkins, at the beginning of the 21st century. It describes economic systems where value is based on novel imaginative qualities rather than the traditional resources of land, labor and capital. Sixteen years after the publication of his book The Creative Economy. How People make Money from Ideas, the Creative Economy Research Center at SWPS University is organizing an international conference, where scientists from around the world will present their research results and discuss issues related to this relatively new branch of science.

Conference

December
15 2017

Warsaw

Links between Culture, Economy and Management

The conference is not only an opportunity to present results of research conducted by the Creative Economy Research Center at SWPS University, but also a chance to exchange ideas, best practices and discuss current issues related to this branch of the economy. Moreover, it is an opportunity to review the current knowledge on creative industries in Poland and to define key thematic areas that lie within the scope of the Creative Economy Research Center.

We have invited leading researchers specializing in creative economy as well as artists and representatives of creative industries to participate in the conference. We would also like to invite anyone interested in the subject matter.
