Dominik Horodyski, Ph.D., is a qualified dispute resolution lawyer, admitted to the Polish Bar, who specializes in investment and commercial law and international arbitration. Apart from lecturing at SWPS University he also works at the Department of International and European Law of the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland.
His research interests include international investment law, investment arbitration, company law, commercial contract law, and commercial arbitration.
Prior to joining SWPS University, he owned a private legal practice, which specialized in corporate law and dispute resolution.
Dr. Horodyski graduated from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law and the Law School of the University of Orleans in France. He completed fellowships at the University of Montreal, University of Vienna, and the Saint Petersburg State University.
He published articles on investment and commercial arbitration, and on company law. His articles appeared in Przegląd Prawa Handlowego, ADR Arbitraż i Mediacja, Polish Yearbook of International Law, and in Monitor Podatkowy.
At SWPS University Dr. Horodyski lectures in Polish and English. He teaches classes on Polish and international commercial law, international commercial and investment arbitration, and commercial contracts.
Additionally, as Dean’s Representative for Moot Courts, he works with students who participate in national and international moot court competitions and coaches the Faculty’s Vis Moot Team. He also represents the Faculty of Law in Warsaw at the SWPS University’s Employee Council.
