Profile
Dominika Kuna graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (2017-2022), the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Warsaw (2017-2020), and the British Law Centre affiliated with the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (2021-2022). In 2019, she completed the Business Law School at Baku State University in Azerbaijan, and the Military Conflict Law School at the Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv. Her research interests include family law, the legal status of children, and civil litigation.
She is actively involved in the protection children’s rights, for example she is a member of the board of the Sociology of Children and Childhood Section at the Polish Sociological Association (PTS), and a senior specialist in a Team for Crimes Against Children in the Office of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights. She is a member of the International Society of Family Law. She participated in a series of seminars offered by the Interdisciplinary Team for the Research on Childhood, at the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology of the University of Warsaw.
She was awarded the Female Business Leaders Academy scholarship provided by the Lesław Pagi Foundation, and a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Ambassador scholarship funded by the Responsible Business Forum. She also won the Minister’s of Education and Science scholarship for significant achievements in the academic year 2021/2022.
Dominika authored several articles in academic journals such as Studia Iuridica Toruniensia. She co-authored Monografia Towarzystwa Doktorantów Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego [Monograph of the Jagiellonian University’s Doctoral Association], tome 2 (2021), and Konstytucyjne aspekty procesu cywilnego [Constitutional Aspects of Civil Proceedings] (2022).
She co-organized many events, such as: The 2nd National Conference on Civil Litigation “Constitutional Aspects of Civil Proceedings”, the 1st Congress “Children in Legal Proceedings” (University of Warsaw), and a Congress “Women Citizens. 100 Years of Women’s Participation”.
At SWPS University she teaches classes in practical legal logic, statutory interpretation, and non-contentious proceedings.
