Julia Jaworska is a cultural researcher specializing in historical linguistics, in particular language change and exposure to other languages in Scandinavia. She carries out diachronic studies of the Norwegian language.
Currently, in pursuit of her doctoral degree, Julia is carrying out a research project “Constructional change in language contact - possessive expressions in Middle Norwegian with Bergen and Voss in focus”, funded by the National Science Centre (project no. 2023/49/N/HS2/01038).
She also completed a studio visit at the University of Bergen, funded by the Mobility Grant for Norwegian Language, Literature and Culture 2023–2024. During her study visit, she conducted literature studies and completed consultations concerning her research project.
At SWPS University she teaches classes in practical grammar and phonetics of Norwegian, language change, and development trends in Scandinavian languages.
