Kateryna Novikova holds a Doctoral Degree in Sociology. Her research interests include ethnography and digital sociology, in particular content and discourse analysis.
As an expert, she has contributed to various projects funded by grants from the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST), Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique (FNRS Belgium), Fond za nauku (Serbia), and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Union. From 2020 to 2021, she collaborated with the Internews organization in a project concerning the application of digital technologies in the process of developing civic society.
She is a member of the Social Anthropology Section of the Polish Sociological Association (PTS), and a co-founder of the Digital Sociology Section.
In 2020, Dr. Novikova held the position of the Managing Editor of the Statistics in Transition journal published by Statistics Poland.
At SWPS University she teaches classes in diversity and communality, cross-cultural communication, business image and etiquette, digital transformation, the influence of digital technologies on the society, job market, and human and social capital in organizations.
