Marta Roczniewska is a psychologist. She specializes in work psychology, in particular the role of work in life, work satisfaction, and the impact of perceived organizational justice on fulfilling employee responsibilities. She also researches employee behavior in the face of organizational change, employee initiative, and matching people with organizations.
Marta is a recipient of the Solomon Asch Award for young researchers. She was also awarded the “Praktyk Nauk Humanistycznych i Społecznych” (Practitioner of Humanities and Social Sciences) scholarship, financed by the EU. She was a doctoral research fellow at Columbia University in New York, where she worked with Professor E. Tory Higgins. Currently, she is a post-doc researcher at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden, where she designs and evaluates organizational interventions.
Apart from her research, Dr. Roczniewska works as a coach and consultant. She participated in a project: “Wielowymiarowy model wsparcia i identyfikacji kompetencji zawodowych” (A multidimensional model of support and identification of professional competencies). She co-developed models of innovative personal coaching for Pomorski Ośrodek Kompetencji and skill evaluation tools for measuring the level of competencies in university graduates for Gdynia Maritime University.
Dr. Roczniewska authored numerous articles on work psychology, published in Journal of Psychology: Interdisciplinary and Applied, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, and Frontiers in Psychology.
At SWPS University she teaches classes on effective team work and work and organizational psychology.
