SWPS University (USWPS) has successfully submitted an application to the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) to establish a Central European Exchange Program for University Studies (CEEPUS) — "Strengthening Universities and Communities through Collaborative Education on Sustainability Solutions" (SUCCESS). USWPS serves as the coordinator of the network, which includes several partner universities.
Project no. CEEPUS PL-2112-01-2627, funded by NAWA
The project is aligned with the following UN Sustainable Development Goals no. 4 — Quality Education, 11 — Sustainable Cities and Communities, 12 — Responsible Consumption and Production, 13 — Climate Action, and 17 — Partnerships for the Goals.
Project objectives
The SUCCESS project focuses on building an international network of universities to work together on sustainability education. Our goal is to create a space where institutions can share ideas and develop new ways of teaching that reach across borders.
We are specifically working to design new teaching models that bring together the social sciences, the arts, and management. By combining these different fields, we aim to provide students with a well-rounded toolkit for tackling real-world challenges.
The SUCCESS project addresses the urgent need to integrate education, research, and professional practice within the field of sustainability. Our goal is to create an international collaborative space where students, researchers, and institutions jointly develop innovative solutions to climate and societal challenges. An interdisciplinary approach and the use of creative and art-based methods in education play a key role in the project.

Methods of implementation
We use experimental and collaborative methods, such as living labs, intensive courses, or summer and winter schools. These formats prioritize hands-on learning and active participation.
Our research involves evaluating these teaching styles by looking at student projects and conducting qualitative studies. Through case studies, observations, and personal reflections, we work to refine our methods and better understand how students learn to tackle sustainability issues.
Application of results
The project will provide new models for sustainability education, along with a "Resilient University Guidebook." These resources offer practical recommendations for universities navigating the climate transition and implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards. Through these tools, we aim to help institutions turn sustainability goals into everyday practice.
