International Partnership

Joint Programs

Providing students with international opportunities that enhance their skills, expose them to new cultures, and open doors to many career options is paramount to us.

The Office for International Cooperation liaises with other higher education institutions to establish new cooperation agreements and develop joint and double degree study programs.

double degrees

Fruitful partnerships

A core strategic goal of SWPS University is to expand opportunities for students to pursue a genuinely international education. To achieve this, we actively cultivate joint and double degree programs with select global partners. By aligning with institutions whose academic profiles complement our own specialized disciplines, we enhance our educational offerings and provide students with high-caliber, cross-cultural academic pathways.

Joint Programs

Global Minds: Psychology of Global Mobility, Inclusion and Diversity in Society

Since 2017, SWPS University has been a member of the Erasmus Mundus Consortium, which offers a 2-year joint graduate program Global Minds: Psychology of Global Mobility, Inclusion and Diversity in Society. The Consortium currently includes ISCTE University Institute of Lisbon in Portugal, University of Limerick in Ireland, and the University of Oslo in Norway.

The Global-MINDS program is a Joint Master's Degree in the Psychology of Global Mobility, Inclusion, and Diversity in Society. Delivered entirely in English, this comprehensive two-year program offers high-quality international training in the scientific knowledge and practical skills core to social and cultural psychology. Students gain in-depth insight into themes vital to today’s social and business landscapes, including culture, organizational dynamics, diversity and inclusion, global mobility, and acculturation. Upon completion, graduates earn joint master's degree diplomas issued by two partner universities within the consortium.

PATHS: Forced Migration: Europe in a Global Context

In 2026, SWPS University launched PATHS: Forced Migration: Europe in a Global Context, the first joint Master's degree program developed within the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA). Bringing together partner universities from Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, and Poland, the consortium offers students an integrated international educational experience across Europe.

The PATHS program is a two-year, interdisciplinary Joint Master's Degree program taught in English that examines forced migration through both European and global lenses. Integrating sociology, political science and public administration, law, and psychology, the curriculum equips students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in key areas such as European border regimes, migration policies, and the protection and inclusion of children and minors. Students tailor their education through one of three thematic study paths, completing compulsory international mobility, a professional internship, and a jointly supervised Master's thesis. Accredited under the European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes (EQAR), the program offers a truly European academic and professional experience. Upon graduation, students receive a joint master’s degree diploma issued by the six consortium universities.
