Erasmus+ Program

One program
many options

The Erasmus+ Program enables students, academics, and administrative staff to gain additional knowledge and experience, and develop their professional skills at universities around the world.

Students get a chance to complete part of their studies at a university in a different country. Erasmus+ provides academics with an opportunity to gain teaching experience at partner universities abroad. Furthermore, the program brings various specialists and business experts to lecture at Polish universities, and it allows administrative staff to acquire work experience and develop competencies aligned with their profession, at institutions abroad.

If you wish to join SWPS University as an Erasmus exchange student, please go to the following page

Our Erasmus+ partners in 2021/2022

Student mobility
multicultural environment

The Erasmus+ program offers students an opportunity to complete one study semester abroad, which can be extended (only from a winter to summer semester), providing the university has sufficient funds. Student exchange is a great opportunity to practice language skills, expand one’s horizons, meet people from different cultures and gain new experience.

Who is eligible for the Erasmus+ Exchange Program?

The program is open to full-time and part-time undergraduate, graduate, and five-year integrated Master’s degree students, regardless of nationality and the country of origin. However, students who are in their last year of study, or those who know that during their exchange program, they will be on a sabbatical or a medical leave, are not eligible for the program.

How many times can you participate in the Erasmus+ program?

Each student is entitled to a mobility capital of not more than 12 months in total, at each level of studies, to the maximum of 36 months (12 months per each of the three levels of study – undergraduate + graduate + doctoral or five-year integrated Master’s degree program + doctoral). This means that students can participate in the exchange program several times during the course of their studies.

  • The mobility capital applies to the study exchange and internships, including the so-called zero-grant programs.

Erasmus Mundus Global Minds

SWPS University, has joined an Erasmus Mundus Consortium that offers a 2-year Joint Master Degree Program in Psychology of Global Mobility, Inclusion and Diversity in Society. The Consortium, which also includes ISCTE University Institute of Lisbon in Portugal, University of Limerick in Ireland, and the University of Oslo in Norway, offers the Global MINDS program funded by the European Commission.

Internships
in companies abroad

Thanks to the Erasmus+ program students may complete professional internships aligned with their study programs, at selected institutions in Europe, such as: research institutes, companies, museums, hospitals, libraries and NGOs. During internships abroad, students gain knowledge, practical experience and language skills in an international environment, which improves their career prospects.

Who is eligible for the internship program?

The program is open to full-time and part-time undergraduate, graduate, and five-year integrated Master’s degree students, regardless of nationality and the country of origin. However, students who are in their last year of study, or those who know that during their exchange program, they will be on a sabbatical or a medical leave, are not eligible for the program.

It is best to secure internships for the summer to avoid conflicts with class schedules. It is possible to complete internships during an academic year, providing students obtain their dean’s approval.

Faculty exchange

Thanks to the Erasmus+ exchange program, members of our faculty also have an opportunity to work at higher education institutions outside of Poland. Working abroad allows lecturers to practice their teaching methodologies in new environments and to further develop their competencies. It also promotes exchange of ideas and best practices between colleagues from different backgrounds.

Additionally, teaching exchanges foster networking between European researchers and provide opportunities for working on international research projects.

Job-shadowing
for administrative staff

Thanks to the Erasmus+ program, our administrative staff can also attend international training courses, workshops and seminars, which are aligned with their field of expertise. Visiting partnering universities and other education intuitions in Europe, allows our employees to develop their competencies and learn about administrative functions and processes employed by other higher education institutions. This type of collaboration fosters exchange of best practices and innovative solutions that might be worth implementing at one’s own university.
