Student mobility - international exchange programs

Student Exchange

Thanks to the Erasmus+ and other international exchange agreements, every year, over 100 SWPS University students participate in exchange programs and spend one or more semesters at other partner universities in Europe, Canada, China, South Korea and Turkey. A similar number of exchange students also come to SWPS University annually. Currently, over 1,200 international students study at SWPS University.

Over 100 Exchange Programs

SWPS University has signed over 100 cooperation agreements with higher education institutions in the European Union and beyond. Including: Sapienza University in Rome – the largest university in Europe, Humboldt-Universität – the oldest university in Berlin, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid – the best psychology school in Spain, KU Leuven – one of the oldest and best universities in Belgium, and the University of Zagreb – the oldest university in South-East Europe.

We have also signed cooperation agreements with the Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Canada, KEDGE Business School in France – a leading business school in Europe, Konkuk University and Sungshin University – international universities in Seoul, South Korea, the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo, Neri Bloomfield School of Design and Education in Israel, and Arkansas State University in the United States.

Beyond Erasmus+

Although many students take advantage of the Erasmus+ program, there are also other exchange programs that offer opportunities for student mobility. These programs do not offer scholarships, however exchange students are exempt from paying tuition fees at the partner institution. This provides a great opportunity for students who would like to gain some additional knowledge and experience in China, Japan, Canada, South Korea, and the USA. Occasionally, these universities may also offer additional scholarships that help to lower the cost of such student exchange.

Study in Europe

Erasmus+ Program

The Erasmus+ Program enables students, academics, and administrative staff to gain additional knowledge and experience, and develop their professional skills at universities around the world, mainly in Europe. Students get a chance to complete part of their studies at a university in a different country. Erasmus+ provides academics with an opportunity to gain teaching experience at partner universities abroad. Furthermore, the program brings various specialists and business experts to lecture at Polish universities, and it allows administrative staff to gain work experience and develop competencies aligned with their profession, at institutions abroad.

One program, many options:

  • study exchange at partner universities
  • internships in companies abroad
  • faculty exchange
  • job-shadowing for administrative staff

Study in the USA and Canada

Students of SWPS University have an opportunity to complete part of their studies at one of our partner universities in the United States (Detroit Mercy University or Arkansas State University) and Canada (Kwantlen Polytechnic University). Thanks to the cooperation agreements between our universities, students from SWPS University can take advantage of preferential tuition rates and, in some cases, may be completely exempt from the tuition fee at the partner institutions.

Students who wish to complete part of their studies in North America must be fluent in English. Those who need to improve their language competencies before undertaking studies in the US, may enroll in Preparatory Language Schools at SWPS University. Students applying for exchange programs in the United States and Canada must meet SWPS University’s requirements (same as for the Erasmus+ program) and additional criteria required by the receiving university:
