Profile

Maciej Szpunar is a lawyer and professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia.
He graduated from the University of Silesia and the College of Europe in Bruges and has conducted academic research at institutions including Cambridge University, the University of Liège, and the European University Institute in Florence.
Since 2013, he has served as Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Union and has been the First Advocate General since 2018.
