Gerald Staberock

 

Profile

 

For the past sixteen years, Gerald Staberock has served as Secretary General of the World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT), based in Geneva.
OMCT works to eradicate torture and protect human rights defenders worldwide, primarily through engagement with United Nations bodies and agencies.
Previously, he spent more than eight years at the International Commission of Jurists, where he served as Director of the Centre for the Independence of Judges and Lawyers and Director of the Global Security and Rule of Law Initiative.
