Grażyna Baranowska

 

Profile

 

Grażyna Baranowska holds a habilitation degree in law. Since August 2024, she has chaired the Professorship for Migration Law and Human Rights at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg.
Her research focuses on missing persons, human rights violations at borders, and memory laws.
Previously, she was a senior researcher at the Hertie School's Centre for Fundamental Rights, where she led an EU-funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie project on missing migrants. She also worked as an assistant professor at the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
