Agnieszka Koch is a psychologist and psychotherapist who specializes in individual, couple’s and family therapy. She specializes in Sue Johnson’s Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), systemic psychotherapy. She also uses Ericksonian approach.
She researches factors that impact the attitudes of psychotherapists on online therapy.
She has completed extensive professional training and courses recommended by the Polish Psychological Association (PPA), including the four-year School of Psychotherapy at the Centre for Systemic Psychotherapy in Kraków, a comprehensive training in Ericksonian psychotherapy – Curriculum at the Polish Erickson Institute, and professional training on the Prevention of Family Violence at the Institute of Health Psychology. Furthermore, she holds an Advanced Comprehensive Training certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and individuals, as recommended by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).
She has acquired extensive clinical experience across various public and private institutions. For eleven years, she worked at the Specialist Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration (MSWiA) in Otwock, where her responsibilities included delivering individual and group psychotherapy, as well as conducting development and psycho-educational workshops. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable experience at institutions such as:
- The Ward for Neurotic Disorders of the Psychiatric Hospital in Komorów.
- The Centre for Family Therapy in Warsaw.
- A socio-therapeutic walk-in clinic located in the Praga district of Warsaw.
- A secondary school in Warsaw, where she served as the school psychologist.
She currently maintains her own private psychotherapy practice.
Since 2016, she has been teaching at SWPS University and pursuing her doctoral degree at SWPS University’s Doctoral School.
