Alicja Balcerek is a social psychologist. She graduated from SWPS University’s Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw and the Faculty of Theatre Studies at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art.
Her researcher focuses on various aspects of power and leadership, in particular, she investigates how exercising power changes people, and how social identification impacts individual and group behavior.
As a business trainer, she helps leaders and teams to develop skills that improve effective team work and open communication. She collaborates with cultural institutions in creating educational tools that develop social skills. She is interested in contemporary performance arts and their role in strengthening social ties.
At SWPS University she teaches courses in social psychology, the effects of exercising and being subject to power, political psychology, and the psychology of leadership.
