Profile

Jane Freedman is Professor of Sociology at the Université Paris 8, France.

Research Interests

She has researched and published widely on issues of forced migration, using an intersectional approach to understand questions of gender and race in asylum and refugee policies.

Research Projects

She is currently Principal Investigator on an ERC Advanced Grant, entitled Growing Up Across Borders, looking at the situations and experiences of young people in situations of forced migration and mobility across borders.
