Jean Christophe Coffin is Associate Professor of History of Child Psychiatry and Adjunct Director of the Institute for the History of Present Times (IHTP), a National Research Center for Scientific Research at the Universiy of Paris 8.

Research Interests

His research stands at the intersection of the histories of education and medicine, with a particular focus on three areas:

• Children and displacement during and after World War II
• History of autism within child psychiatry
• child identity disorders from 1960 to 2000
