Kira Kosnick is a Professor of Comparative Cultural and Social Anthropology at European University Viadrina in Germany. She also serves as the Director of the university’s interdisciplinary migration research center, B/Orders in Motion.

Publications

She published numerous articles in international journals. Her most recent article — "Temporary Lives: Border Temporalities and Retirement Mobilities in a Turkish Tourism Hot Spot" — is concerned with border temporalities in their hierarchical aspects by focusing on the complex relationship between political (state) borders and the frontiers of capital.
