The Department of Forensic Psychology specializes in psychological disciplines that support the work of the justice system, including the judiciary, police and the penitentiary system. Researchers conduct studies in the field of forensic psychology and criminal psychology, for example they study the role of mental disorders in committing criminal acts, determinants of witness and defendant testimonies, psychology of violence and aggressive behaviors, and criminal profiling.
