Department of Human Rights and Rule of Law

Faculty of Law in Warsaw

The department advances research on human rights and the rule of law, examining the institutional structures that safeguard fundamental freedoms. Head of the Department: Professor Adam Bodnar, a lawyer specializing in constitutional law and human rights, who served as the Vice-President of the Helsinki Foundation of Human Rights (2010-2015) and was the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Poland (2023-2025).
