About the Seminar

We are pleased to announce that the online seminar titled “Parenthood Regret – Psychological, Social, and Cultural Contexts” will be hosted by SWPS University on October 20, 2025.

The event welcomes researchers who study the phenomenon of regretting parenthood. Our goal is to create a space for dialogue and the exchange of the latest research findings. The seminar will be open to a diverse audience, including academics, practitioners, and parents.

Topics of the seminar include but are not limited to:

  • conceptualizations of parenthood regret
  • methods of measuring the phenomenon
  • the scale of parenthood regret
  • underlying causes
  • consequences for parents and their children
  • support strategies for parents experiencing regret
