Katarzyna Myślińska-Szarek, Ph.D. is a developmental psychologist specializing in the socio-moral development of children. She also holds a degree in sociology.
In her research, she combines expertise in social and developmental psychology with an experimental approach, which she uses to investigate how children understand concepts such as good/evil, justice, punishment, and retribution.
Over the course of her career, she conducted numerous studies funded by the National Science Centre (NCN). In 2021, she received a scholarship from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), and a research internship from the University of Michigan. She was also awarded the 2025 scholarship of Poland’s Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young scientists.
She published her research findings in academic journals such as the Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, Developmental Science, and Cognition.
Katarzyna is a member of the Society for Research in Child Development, the European Association of Developmental Psychology, and the American Psychological Association.
At SWPS University, she teaches developmental psychology, the psychology of socio-moral development, basic statistics, and advanced research methodology.
