We are proud to announce that three projects by researchers and a PhD student from SWPS University have been awarded in the OPUS 25 and PRELUDIUM 22 competitions organized by the National Science Centre.
SWPS University received funding for three projects
The OPUS competition is aimed at a wide audience. Applications can be submitted for national research projects, as well as projects involving foreign partners or the use of large international research facilities by Polish teams.
The projects awarded in the OPUS 25 competition are:
- "Structure and Agency: Transnational and School Transitions of Ukrainian Forced Migrant Adolescents in Poland" – Anzhela Popyk, PhD / Assistant Professor from the Institute of Social Sciences; grant amount: PLN 1,335,234
- "The social consequences of becoming a victim. A multi-study project involving adults and children" – Katarzyna Myślińska-Szarek from the Institute of Psychology; grant amount: PLN 964,453.
According to the National Science Centre's website, the above projects ranked first and second in the NCN ranking list for the HS6 panel (Humanities, Social Sciences, and Arts).
Another project of SWPS University that received funding from the National Science Centre (PRELUDIUM 22 competition) is titled "Patience bears fruit: The influence of enhanced deliberation on performance for less numerate individuals." It is led by Supratik Mondal, a PhD student at SWPS University. The amount of funding awarded is PLN 209,906.
The PRELUDIUM competition is aimed at researchers without a doctoral degree. The competition offers grants of up to PLN 70,000, PLN 140,000, or PLN 210,000 to finance a project lasting 12, 24, or 36 months. Research teams in PRELUDIUM research projects can consist of a maximum of three people, including the project manager and a supervisor.
