SWPS University (USWPS) has successfully submitted an application to the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) to establish a Central European Exchange Program for University Studies (CEEPUS) — "Bridging Disciplines in Central and Eastern European Japanese Studies". USWPS serves as the coordinator of the network, which includes several partner universities.
Project no. CEEPUS PL-0000-00-2627, funded by NAWA
The project is aligned with the following UN Sustainable Development Goals no. 4 — Quality Education, 8 — Decent Work and Economic Growth, 9 — Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and 17 — Partnerships for the Goals.
Project objectives
The goal of the initiative is to:
- Strengthen the position of Asian studies in our region
- Transform the networked universities into key partners for Japan
- Become centers for developing talents ready to face the challenges of the modern world
The CEEPUS network "Bridging Disciplines in Central and Eastern European Japanese Studies" is an initiative that, in my assessment, redefines the approach to Asian studies in our region. I am very proud to lead this project, as I am convinced that interdisciplinarity is the key to success in modern education.
Our project is a direct response to the needs of a younger generation that does not want to choose between a passion for culture and hard market competencies. We combine deep humanistic knowledge with a practical approach to social sciences, economics, and business. As a result, our students not only understand Japan's identity and cultural specificities but also possess the skills to navigate the world of global investments and diplomatic relations effectively.
