Industrial Doctorate Program
Follow these steps to apply to SWPS University’s Doctoral School and pursue an Industrial Doctorate.
Begin your application
- Fill in the Registration Form (you can download it from the Documents section below), and e-mail it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by March 31, 2026.
- Contact SWPS University’s Industrial Doctorate Coordinator at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to discuss your concept of an implementation project.
- With the assistance of the Industrial Doctorate Coordinator, fill in and gather the documents required by both the Doctoral School and Poland’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education — bodies that assess the submitted industrial doctorate proposals.
Await the result of SWPS University's Doctoral School assessment
- The Industrial Doctorate Admissions Committee evaluates candidates based on their academic and professional achievements, the scientific quality of the doctoral dissertation project, and its potential for practical implementation.
- The Committee invites selected candidates for an interview.
- If you are selected, we will notify you about the date and time of your interview by e-mail or via the Application Portal. Interviews are conducted in Polish and English, between April 20 and May 15, 2026.
Undergo assessment of your industrial doctorate proposal by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education's (MNiSW)
- Once the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) announces the application deadline for this year's competition in the Public Information Bulletin (BIP), SWPS University Program Coordinator will submit selected applications through the Funding Stream Support System (OSF) (STAGE 1 OF THE COMPETITION)
Enter your information to SWPS University’s Application Portal
Once your proposal is accepted by MNiSW, follow these steps:
- Fill in the online Application Form
- Upload scans of the required documents (format .jpg or .pdf) — review the list in the Documents section below
Submit hard copies of required documents
Once you register in our online Application Portal and upload the required documents, you need to also provide hard copies of the following documents to the Office of the Dcotoral School:
- Print out of the completed Personal Data Form from the Application Portal
- Your application, including a cover letter, addressed to the Admissions Committee appropriate for your chosen field of study
- Master’s degree diploma, including a diploma supplement or a university transcript, and a copy of your Grade Point Average (GPA)
- Documents confirming your achievements
- Overview of the future doctoral dissertation, prepared according to the Admission Requirements
- Confirmation of the application fee payment
- Formal approval of the research center or the research team, which accepted your project
- A statement confirming your employment as an academic lecturer or a researcher
Await the admission decision
The admission results will be published by the Doctoral School in the Application Portal (on your individual account), by September 30, 2026.
Provide original documents to the Office of the Doctoral School (mandatory condition).
Once you are admitted to the Doctoral School, you must submit originals of the required documents for validation to the Office of Doctoral School appropriate for your program of study (Warsaw or Wrocław), by one of the following means:
- In person
- By a third party (a letter of authorization or power of attorney is required). Documents that will be submitted on your behalf by a third party (i.e., the personal information form, your application, the cover letter, and the overview of your doctoral dissertation) must be signed by you.
- By post (or courier) to the address of the appropriate Office of the Doctoral School (Warsaw or Wrocław).
