Profile

Ewa Butowska-Buczyńska holds a doctoral degree in psychology. Additionally, she completed a 4-year psychotherapy course at the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University.

As a researcher she specializes in psychology of memory, in particular, the effectiveness of the existing methods of learning and memorizing. She is the Principal Investigator in a research project “The harder the better? How various learning strategies interact”, funded by the National Science Centre.

She is a recipient of the 2021 Psychonomic Society’s Graduate Student Conference Award.

Ewa authored several publications in academic journals, including Memory and Cognition and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).

At SWPS University she teaches classes in cognitive psychology and psychotherapy.
