Jarosław Orzechowski holds a post-doctoral degree (habilitacja) in social sciences. He lectures at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and SWPS University in Warsaw. He researches intelligence and creativity using cognitive psychology approach. His research outcomes serve as foundation of the training programs he develops for organizations and trainers.
For the past 15 years, as a business trainer, he has been teaching psychological skills, in particular personal development and cognitive skills to employees in numerous companies. The goal of these training sessions is to boost creativity of individuals, teach them analytical thinking, and creative problem solving skills with the application of the so-called inventics (the science of invention). He also consults on innovation management in organizations – he developed a model of innovation management in corporations.
Professor Orzechowski also trains other trainers, mainly on teaching methodology, with the focus on developing one’s own training methods (for example he developed custom-made programs for GT Mentor school for trainers, Telekomunikacja Polska S.A., and Deutsche Bank). He also teaches these skills to students of graduate certificate programs addressed to trainers and coaches.
Jarosław Orzechowski won several research grants funded by the State Committee for Scientific Research (KBN) and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW). He published a few dozen publications and conference presentations. He also co-authored a practical handbook for trainers “Trening twórczości" (Creativity Training) (2005).
He is a certified trainer of ROZVIYAK. Małopolska Szkoła Trenerów Organizacji, a professional organization of business trainers of the Lesser Poland region (south of Poland).
