Monika Rosińska, Ph.D. is a sociologist. She uses socio-cultural approach to studies of design and design research, in particular contemporary design practices, such as critical and speculative design. She specializes in non-anthropocentric design and science and technology studies (STS).
She is interested in the history of design in the political, social and cultural context. She also studies sociology of objects and design in everyday contexts.
Dr. Rosińska also researches why the creative process goes beyond the form and function, pursues a definition of “good design”, and wants to know what is important for contemporary designers.
