MIPC Student Research Club

Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw

Major Issues in Psychotherapy and Counseling is a student club dedicated to preparing psychology students for the complex challenges they may face in their future career. Our goal is to explore tools, methods, and concepts that, while essential in the field, can also raise important ethical, practical, or theoretical issues. We address these topics through the lenses of therapy, research, counseling psychology, and various other branches of the discipline—recognizing psychology as a broad and evolving field.

Supervisor: Marta Porębiak, Ph.D. / Assistant Professor

What we do

Vision:

To become a reliable place where students can learn about and understand the major issues in psychotherapy and counselling, and feel better prepared for future work in these fields.

Mission:

Our mission is to help students learn the basics and important ideas in psychotherapy and counselling in a clear and approachable way. We do this through guest lectures, in-house meetings, watch parties, and many other concepts that we will explore in the future! We want to create a space where students can ask questions, think openly, and build confidence for their future roles in mental health work.

How to join?

You may apply through virtual university, simply find "student organizations" under the tool tab and manually search for our name. After that you have to apply for the club and wait for your request to be approved.
