US Army Captain Elizabeth Evans
US Army Captain Elizabeth Evans is a Eurasian Foreign Area Officer (FAO) in-training at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany; currently an FAO intern at the US Embassy Warsaw. She graduated the Polish Basic Course in Washington, D.C. in August 2016. Her most recent assignment was the Division G1 Personnel Officer at the 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Captain Evans is a 2001 Magna Cum Laude Graduate of the University of New Hampshire. She began her military career at the Adjutant General Basic Officer Leader’s Course in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Upon graduation in August 2008, she moved to Fort Eustis, Virginia, and served as Battalion S1 in the 24th Transportation Battalion, 7th Sustainment Brigade; Executive Officer in the 510th Human Resources Company, 7th Sustainment Brigade, with duty in Bagram, Afghanistan; and Battalion S1 in the 11th Transportation Battalion, Fort Story Virginia.
Upon completion of the Adjutant General’s Captain’s Career Course at Fort Jackson, South Carolina April 2012, Captain Evans served as Battalion S1 in the 2-506th Infantry Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division located in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, with duty in Salerno, Afghanistan.
In April 2014, Captain Evans served as the Division Headquarters G1 Personnel Officer in the 101st Airborne Division. In October 2014, Captain Evans served as the Deputy J1, Headquarters, Joint Forces Command- United Assistance in Liberia, Africa. Upon redeployment Captain Evans served as the Personnel Officer in the 101st Airborne Division G1.
Captain Evans’ military awards include the Bronze Star Medal (1OLC), Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal. She also wears the Combat Action Badge.
