Library

in Katowice

Our library in Katowice holds over 11,500 volumes on psychology, criminal psychology and other related subjects. The collection is gradually expanding. The library offers a variety of books, audio-books, magazines, periodicals, feature films, documentaries, training videos, professional articles on psychology, and English language learning CD’s. Students and faculty may also use statistical software for analysis of research results.

Electronic Databases

Students and lecturers of SWPS University have access to Polish and foreign electronic databases of articles, periodicals and other materials, including: EBSCO, PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES, SocINDEX with Full Text and Elsevier. They may also use the largest Polish electronic lending library ibuk.pl.

Acess for Individuals
with Special Needs

The SWPS University library in Katowice is equipped with a specialized computer station for visually impaired users. The station offers a speech synthesizer, ZoomText software and a large print keyboard. Patrons of the library may also take advantage of a portable hand-held electronic magnifiers. The library also provides access to the Academic Digital Library, which holds handbooks and study materials in various digital formats, including: DOC, HTML, PDF, and DAISY.
