No barriers education
The aim of the three-year project is to integrate innovative, digital learning methods into higher education that support a just and sustainable mobility transformation. The project focuses on eliminating barriers to accessing education in mobility technologies and urban planning, as well as promoting the inclusion of women in STEM disciplines (i.e., science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). The initiative aims to develop modern curricula that will meet the needs of the rapidly changing labor market in the mobility and transportation sector.
The leading role in the project, confirms SWPS University’s expertise in the field of digital and inclusive education, while the project itself actively contributes to the attainment of European goals such as the promotion of equality and innovative higher education.
International cooperation
The project will be implemented by a consortium of five institutions:

- Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (Spain)
- University of Limerick (Ireland)
- Architektoniczki, a feminist architecture and urban planning cooperative (Poland)
- Rupprecht Consult (Germany).
SWPS University’s project team
David Sypniewski
David Sypniewski is the Head of the AI Open Lab – an interdisciplinary forum addressing the challenges of artificial intelligence and providing training in this area. As a Ph.D. candidate he conducts research on the design of wayfinding systems in refugee centers. He is also the coordinator of the HumanTech Summit hackathon, which promotes collaboration at the intersection of technology and design. Read more
Izabela Bołoz
Izabela Bołoz is the Head of the Department of Material Design at SWPS University’s Faculty of Design in Warsaw. She is also a designer and educator with over 12 years of experience in the design of public spaces and urban design. Izabela is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at SWPS University's Doctoral School. Some of her clients include the European Commission, Copenhagen Metro, and Eindhoven Airport for whom she designed human-centered solutions.
Erasmus+ Action 2: Cooperation between organisations and institutions (Cooperation Partnerships)
Apart from supporting student and academic staff mobility, the Erasmus+ program also fosters other initiatives in academia. The Erasmus+ Action 2 program supports international partnerships between higher education institutions and other organizations that jointly develop, test, and implement innovative solutions. The goal is to modernize the education offer, share good practices, improve the quality of education, and better align universities with the needs of society and the economy. These projects can take from 2 to 3 years and may receive funding of up to EUR 400,000.
