Project requirements

To participate in the Erasmus+ program, universities must meet a formal requirement of having been awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027 (ECHE). SWPS University’s Charter was renewed in 2021.

Project objectives

The Erasmus+ program supports international mobility of all university students, regardless of the study field or study cycle. Students can either study abroad at a partner higher education institution or carry out a traineeship in a company, a research institute, a laboratory, an organisation or any other relevant workplace abroad.

Academic teachers and administrative staff are also beneficiaries of the Erasmus+ program, which provides them with opportunities of professional development abroad, such as teaching and training periods (e.g. job shadowing, workshops and courses).

The main goal of the Erasmus+ program is to help establish an European Education Area with a global outreach, and to strengthen the link between education and research. The program also aims to foster employability, social inclusion, civic engagement, innovation and environmental sustainability in Europe and beyond, by enabling students from all study fields and at all study cycles to study or train abroad as part of their degree study programs.

Project Funding

The project is funded by the Foundation for the Development of the Education System as part of the European Commission's program Erasmus+.

At SWPS University, the project is coordinated by the Office for International Cooperation .
