Course participants will learn or expand their Polish medical vocabulary. They will also practice grammar and further develop all language skills, such as speaking, listening, writing and reading comprehension. Thanks to the course, the participants will be prepared to fluently communicate with other medical professionals as well as converse with patients, conduct diagnostic interviews and provide medical advice.
Program
The course is organized into thematic blocks. After completing each block, participants must pass a language test comprising the material of the block. The course ends with the final exam, where all skills, including vocabulary, grammar, listening and reading comprehension are assessed. Speaking proficiency is assessed based on a discussion of a selected medical case.

- Introduction to medical Polish
- Body parts and main ailments and conditions related to these body parts Simple medical cases Preliminary patient interview Taking family history and patient’s environment information
- Internal organs, systems and cavities
- Systems and their diseases, including: respiratory system, cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal system, genito-urinary system, male and female reproductive systems, nervous system and the musculoskeletal system

- Lifestyle-related medical conditions
- Drug, smoking and alcohol addictions. Causes and outcomes. Discussions
- First aid
Class schedule
Classes take place on weekends (Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 13:00) or on weekdays (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, from 17:00 to 20:00).
